He was one of the 1st deacons of the early church & the first martyr who died for his belief in Jesus!
He was falsely accused of blasphemy for preaching the Gospel with great power, & was stoned to death! Before dying, he proclaimed: “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” Wow. Forgiveness & obedience that powerful only comes through the Holy Spirit! 💖🕊 (Acts 7:54-60)
Nowadays, even though there is plenty of Christian persecution around the world, for many of us who read this, we don’t have to worry about being stoned to death for our faith. But we do experience what I call “metaphorical” stoning. We get harassed, bullied, ostracized, etc. 😔
Standing up for our faith is not always easy, but it is absolutely necessary as followers of Christ.💖 God takes everyone through a personal process, but being a baby Christian your entire life is not His purpose for any of us. He wants full commitment from us, & He wants us to profess our faith, to LIVE IT out, no matter the circumstance. In order to do this, we must mature in Christ, & this happens so quickly once people make that real commitment. Make a commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, let Him transform you & rule over every area of your life! 💖
It is the most important thing you will do in your life, not only to thrive here on earth, but to advance the Kingdom of God. If God is calling you to step out, let Him use you! Step up to that higher commitment with the Lord! It is by far the BEST decision I’ve ever made in my life & I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner! The Lord pays His workers WELL!!!!! 😁🙌🏻 Im talking spiritual blessings beyond measure!! Things that no amount of money can buy!!! Praise the Lord!!! 💖🙌🏻
Stephen’s life is an amazing story of how one person let God use him to bring many people to the Lord, & he’s an example of faithfulness & obedience to the Lord, under any circumstance. 💖
