How do we please the Lord?🤔

20191117_201059_0000We’ve all heard that Christians, it is our “job” to please the Lord in any way possible. To please Him over all things with our lives, that is the goal right? But what does pleasing God actually look like? 🤔
.
I remember when I first came back to God, I really wanted to please God, but I had a lot of habits from my old life still lingering. Habits that were not pleasing to God, but I was unaware of this because I had grown so accustomed to worldly living.

So the first thing if you want to please the Lord, is to simply & sincerely ask Him in prayer to please remove anything in your life that is not pleasing to Him. This is powerful & it WORKS! Little by little, I have seen how the Lord has helped me remove unGodly things from my life. I just praise Him for it because that process liberated me. I still always ask God for this.

For the next few posts I wanted to be discuss this more in depth, & explore some other ways you can please the Lord, all based on what the Bible says we need to be doing. 🤓

If we’re truly grateful to the Lord for everything He has done for us, & continues to do every second of the day, that will naturally result in us wanting to please Him. What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving holiday, than to decide Lord, I am going to show you my gratefulness to you with my life! I am going to dedicate my life to you! 🙌🏻☝️💖
.
Our lives should be a living sacrifice to the Lord, and this comes out of a grateful heart when we have accepted His perfect love into our heart, His mercy, & grace.
I hope you will be blessed by these next few posts as I am by writing them! There are huge blessings promised to us when we seek to please the Lord! 🙏🏻❤

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God–this is your true and proper worship.
.
♡Hebrews 12:28-29♡
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”
