WITH JESUS I AM FINALLY HOME! π‘ππππ»Our homes are a place of rest & relaxation. But if we’re not involving, inviting Jesus into our everyday lives, we can have the most luxurious home with all the amenities money can buy, but it will never be a place of rest. Why? Because only JESUS can provide that rest we need. His presence is our home! π‘ππ
If we’re not opening our hearts to Him, there’s little a comfortable home can do to provide true satisfaction, happiness, & rest. I spent a lot of time looking & looking, nothing ever made me happy. Nothing satisfied me. I could’ve been in a place I thought I wanted to be, but always had this feeling something was deeply missing, & could never enjoy myself. There was such a big hole & such a big feeling of loneliness & despair…
Until I finally decided to let JESUS into my heart!!!FINALLY! I AM HOME!!! He cleansed & purified me, & I can feel at rest because what I needed was Him!!
Sometimes, when a person passes away, people say, they went to be with the Lord. That’s totally true if they were saved. & let’s not forget it’s also true that we can be with Him TODAY!!! We can live in His sweet presence in this life!!! That’s why He died for our sins!!! For both eternal life & so we can have access daily in this life! I don’t know about you, but I’m sure grateful the Lord saved me from those days of neverending restless searching. THANK YOU JESUS!!! Even as Christ followers, we can get out of focus at times. The enemy tries to distract us. But it’s important to always get back on track. Our hearts long for the Lord. We’re just not meant to live separate from Him!
So if you’re feeling kind of empty or like you’re out of focus, not enjoying anything, restless, sad, you need to connect to the vine (Jesus). You need to abide in the Lord. Pray!!!! He is truly all we need, He satisfies our deepest longings! He’s waiting for you, come home!!!
β‘ Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 β‘
When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: Fear God and keep His commandments, because this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, along with every hidden thing, whether good or evil.
①Psalm 63 ①‡
Thirsting for God
(2 Samuel 15:30β37)
A Psalm of David, when he was in the Wilderness of Judah.
1O God, You are my God.
Earnestly I seek You;
my soul thirsts for You.
My body yearns for You
in a dry and weary land without water.
2So I have seen You in the sanctuary
and beheld Your power and glory.
3Because Your loving devotion is better than life,
my lips will glorify You.
4So I will bless You as long as I live;
in Your name I will lift my hands.
5My soul is satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with joyful lips my mouth will praise You.
6When I remember You on my bed,
I think of You through the watches of the night.
7For You are my help;
I will sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings.
8My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me.
9But those who seek my life to destroy it
will go into the depths of the earth.
10They will fall to the power of the sword;
they will become a portion for foxes.
11But the king will rejoice in God;
all who swear by Him will exult,
for the mouths of liars will be shut.
