Forgiveness 🥺❤🙏🏻

Being able to really & truly forgive is something we all have to do as followers of Christ. Forgiveness doesn’t mean you allow certain negative behavior to continue or even excuse it, it just means you do not hold grudge or bitterness against that person & have let the Lord heal your heart. Forgiveness means wishing that person to be saved & well for them. It means you are extending the same UNDESERVED mercy & grace that the Lord has granted you.

Not being able to forgive is not Godly, it is a carnal behavior. It comes from a desire of the flesh to want to hold a grudge & create our own justice instead of relying on God & truly believing that He will make justice for us. It’s lack of understanding & believing in His promises. This can happen to any of us. Some time ago the Holy Spirit brought to my attention that I needed to be a more forgiving person. I asked the Lord to make me this way. To please help me to forgive. And He has! Glory to God!!!

As Christians we need to have a heart that forgives. 🥺❤🙏🏻 I was very used to living with a carnal mentality, that if you wrong me, I will hold a grudge. Not to take revenge but to just, hold bitterness in my heart. But that’s not Godly or healthy & it’s very harmful for our spirit & relationships, & our relationship with the Lord as this grieves the Holy Spirit in us. 😔 God knows our heart. He knows the deepest parts. Thank the Lord He has such mercy on us. 🥺❤🙏🏻

We must take care not to allow bitter roots to grow & defile us. We must repent of this. Let us be people who forgive others quickly & not give the devil a foothold. 🥺❤🙏🏻

At times it may be harder than others, but when we ask God to help us forgive, He will do it. Believe in God’s promises, He will do justice for you. Do not try to hold a grudge in your heart. This only harms you & the most precious thing, your relationship with the Lord. We simply must forgive, not doing so is sin, disobedience to God. ❤🥺🙏🏻
