God Works Miracles Everday!

Hi! God bless you! I wanted to say hello and update my blog! (FINALLY!) The last few weeks have been a whirlwind. I had many plans in mind, for my blog and for my life in general, but everything had to be put on hold. But God has a purpose for everything so praise Him!

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. — Proverbs 16:9 ESV

God has been so good! My Mom had to get surgery, this wasn’t planned and took us all by surprise, so that kept me quite busy, plus the holidays. It was a very very hectic and busy time. Things are just beginning to settle down! But I’m just beyond grateful to God that my Mom is doing great, she still does need to get some treatments starting soon, but overall the it’s been really amazing how God has done a miracle! The strength He gave her to endure that process was something supernatural. He does miracles everyday!

2019 got off to a slow start for me. I felt a bit unprepared for the new year because I was dealing with so many things at once. But really, that “new year” pressure is just a false pretense society sets for us. Every new day is a gift and a miracle, and a “new year” can really start any day of the year. Even the next second is not guaranteed. So setting goals or starting over does not have to be January first. We can set new goals, rework old ones, whenever. And of course, like the Pastor said in my church yesterday, it’s no about how you start, it’s about finishing the race set before us!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. — Hebrews 12:1-3 NIV

God is not bound by the calendar year. He makes things new each and every single day. There’s this story in the Bible where Jesus heals on the Sabbath, and of course that was a controversial thing to the Pharisees, and I feel like it can still be that way. It can be controversial to some people that we are not following the standards set by society. But we are really just following God, not other people or what society in general says we should be doing.

Anyways I hope you guys had a very happy and blessed holiday season, and I am late but I hope this new year we just grow closer and closer to God, learn more about Him, and that we continue to reach our purpose in Him. In Jesus name Amen! God bless you!

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21 NIV
