Do you remember when you first came to Christ? At first we all have such passion, such a strong faith & sense of comittment. But sometimes during our walk, there can be disappointments, people, situations in life, within the church, in our families, jobs…that may hurt us & discourage us. I think it happens to all of us at some point & certainly to me!
It is not easy to maintain that fervor for following Christ, but it’s something we must do, & thank the Lord He never ever abandons us! The Holy is always there to help & strengthen us!
We must realise when this has happened, maybe you don’t pray as much as you used to, maybe your desire to worship, read the Word, has diminished. It always happens so slowly, & when you realise it, you don’t even desire to, it seems like a task.
We must do like the disciples did & ask the Lord to increase our FAITH! (Luke 17:5) We must repent that we have fallen in such a state, & do as the Lord has instructed in these verses:
1. Remember from where we have fallen
2. Repent
3. Do the works you did at first!!
Praise be to God! He is calling us to a deeper relationship with Him! May the fire for God always be burning in our hearts! In Jesus’ name, So be it!!! Amen!!

4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.
