2017: Looking Back

pexels-photo-737568.jpegI’ve been seeing lots of posts on twitter & other social media about reflecting on the past year. Some are negative, but mostly every single post was positive & I think that’s a great thing! 🙂 It’s good to be grateful for the blessings that God has provided throughout the year! 🙂

So I wanted to share 3 accomplishments that God has helped me with this year (hey let’s give credit where credit is due, I didn’t do anything on my own! lol):

  1. My 1st & biggest accomplishment has been my relationship with Jesus. This year, I have renewed & strengthened my commitment to Him, & have learned to give Him control and how to stop relying on myself. I’ve never been happier! 🙂
  2. Finding a new job! This was so unexpected. I had been applying to so many jobs & wasn’t even getting interviews! Then one day this month, almost at the end of the year, it happened! I never lost my faith just because I couldn’t find a job. I was grateful for what I had (a part time job). But I knew I needed to just keep the faith. Then suddenly, God did it. It was a real miracle. 💕❤🎉 God once again followed through on His promises, He is our provider. ❤
  3. This blog! I believe starting this blog to be an accomplishment. It may not have a ton of readers rn, but that’s not what matters. I know God directed me to do this, to use this platform to reach people. So being obedient to Him in this way is a huge accomplishment for me bc it’s something the old me would have never dared to do. I was too insecure & immature to be obedient. I’m not saying I am the perfect picture of maturity rn lol (I do use a crazy amount of emojis still lol), BUT I am developing more & more my identity in Christ & learning how to see life the way God wants me to see it, & to do His will. 🙏💯💕

It’s weird, as you may or may not notice, 2 out of 3 accomplishments like literally JUST HAPPENED. Lol. In December. The year was basically over, not much had changed! My inside had changed, but not much else. I had not heard from God about anything else. But I wasn’t fretting. I just knew the breakthrough was coming. I didn’t know it would be right before the end of the year. As I think about it, I just want to cry. My eyes have tears (not sad but good ones lol). Im just pretty overwhelmed by God’s greatness & Im humbled. 😢🤧😭❤💕🙏💯

God is just amazing.

I know 2018 will be an amazing year full of more growth, changes, & new things! God promised me He will make all things new in my life. He’s already doing it, starting from my heart. ❤🙏

Revelation 21:5 English Standard Version (ESV)
5 And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

Hebrews 8:13 English Standard Version (ESV)
13 In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Isaiah 65:17 English Standard Version (ESV)
New Heavens and a New Earth
17 “For behold, I create new heavens
   and a new earth,
and the former things shall not be remembered
   or come into mind.
