Unmasking the Enemy😬👺🙏🏻

20181030_152106_0001

Sometimes in life, we think we’re fighting against someone, & we may feel like we’re at war. Well, we actually are at war, but it’s not necessarily with the people coming against you themselves. They are merely a tool being used by the enemy for his wicked purposes of causing division and conflict. What I’ve come to understand is, after many years of struggling to understand, is that satan uses WHOEVER lets themselves be used. Not only unsaved people, but this includes CHRISTIANS as well. Yes, the enemy uses Christians believe it or not! So it is up to us, to rely on the Holy Spirit for discernment & wisdom, in order to unmask him. We’re at war alright, but the war is not with the people themselves, it is with the enemy! Understanding this, makes everything so much easier and more clear. It makes you strong against the enemy as well because since you now know his game plan, you can always be one step ahead of him when he tries to throw those fiery darts at you.

I used to make the mistake, over and over again, of thinking that when people came up against me, that I was fighting THE PEOPLE themselves. And I would fight them right back. Oh heck no she did not just say that to me oh no she better R-E-S-P-E-C-T!!! Now you guys know I am big on having boundaries based on the Bible. That is a MUST. It is the only way to know when you should speak and when you should just let an offense go. But before, I wasn’t looking at things in a spiritual way so I was living life constantly fighting and offended. One of Satan’s incredibly powerful, efficient, and I would say the most successful tactic he employs, is that he likes to remain anonymous. He creates a conflict, makes people fight, makes them feel hurt and offended, pits them against one another, each person feels like their pride is deeply hurt, causes great divisions, and then he hides so nobody even knows he was there. He doesn’t stand there and announce, “IT WAS ME EVERYONE! I PITTED THEM AGAINST ONE ANOTHER. I PUT NEGATIVE THOUGHTS IN HER HEAD ABOUT HIM, AND DID THE SAME FOR HIM. I, THE ENEMY, MADE THEM FIGHT AND HURT EACH OTHER. OH YOU GOT ME!!!! AND I TAKE FULL BLAME AND RESPONSIBILITY!!!” Uhhmm No lol, the enemy doesn’t do this lol.

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. — 1 Peter 3:9 NIV

Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult. — Proverbs 12:16

He remains anonymous and you may think you’re fighting against another person, but your real enemy is not the other person, it is THE enemy (satan), which is operating through them. I know this sounds crazy lol. But it is the truth! The people themselves, are merely being used by Satan (the enemy) for his wicked purposes. They’re just not aware of it. These people are sinners too, & are in need of repentance. Don’t let what someone has done to you, cost you your salvation. That is the enemy’s end goal in his scheme. So forgive. And pray for those who hurt you. Why? Because internally, they are in pain too, & we are all sinners in need of a savior, who is Jesus Christ. If we do not forgive here on earth, our Father will not forgive us when we are in heaven. The enemy knows this. So he will try to remind you, to whisper in your ear, all the things those people did to hurt you. He will bring up the smallest of things, or the largest, things that just happened, or things that happened 20 years ago. It doesn’t matter. As long as it can get you to grow a bitter root in your heart, which will cost you your salvation, the enemy doesn’t care what he has to do. So learn to identify these negative thoughts, ask the Holy Spirit to help you.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[d] says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[e] — Romans 12: 17-20 NIV

Another tactic the enemy uses to target our minds and hearts, and God’s Kingdom, is by working from within the church. Doing an “inside job.” Christians are not exempt from being used by the enemy for his purposes of stealing, killing, & destroying. This is sad but true. That is why as Christians, we have to pray every day for covering & for the holy spirit. Constantly humble yourself before the Lord and ask Him to examine your heart. Any thought of ENVY toward brothers and sisters in the church, due to certain positions, etc, are from the enemy and you need to be aware and rebuke them. Do not try to stop anyone trying to do God’s work because you feel some sort of envy in your heart. That is the enemy’s doing. Don’t let him use you. Ask for forgiveness and guard your heart. We are to be in unity.

But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. 17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. — James 3: 14-18 NIV

The enemy wants to target us Christians most because when we are effective Christians, we really advance God’s Kingdom here on earth which is what the enemy hates. He wants to destroy our families, jobs, testimonies, so he can have everyone thinking, “wow seriously these people are supposedly Christian?! Wow I want nothing to do with Christ then.” Lord rebuke him! He won’t succeed! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

The church will be called up basically, any second now. ⌚⏳ Let’s not get distracted with the enemy’s schemes because we know, its him working behind the scenes. Let’s unmask the enemy and fight with the one who is really behind all of this, Satan. (Lord rebuke him). He is the real enemy and our war should be focused on him, not on other people. As much as we can, we should live in peace with others. We cannot call ourselves Christians and live life going from conflict to conflict. The Lord our God is not a God of conflict but of peace and order. Of course, sometimes you’re not out looking for any sort of trouble but it seems people are looking for trouble with you. They are being used by the enemy. Don’t let it take away your peace. Focus on God and His goodness and His blessings. All the great things He has given you. Patience and joy are a fruit of the spirit, and they do not depend on whether the coffee guy was nice or not. They depend on whether you spent enough time with the Lord and you opened yourself up to Him to have that close relationship. And if the coffee guy is rude, you will still be kind and nice and say, God bless you and smile and show that radiance in you which is the holy spirit in you, and it may even change that coffee guy’s entire mood for the day, week, or even his life! Because only the Lord knows, what those rude people are going through and you might be the person God needs to use at that very moment to bring His hope into their lives. But if you’re so focused on yourself and giving into the enemy’s fiery darts and letting those negative thoughts infiltrate your heart and mind, you might snap right back at the coffee guy, and get into some kind of quarrel that hurts your entire day and his entire day, week, even his entire life. THE CHOICE IS OURS TO MAKE!!!!

Whoever loves a quarrel loves sin; — Proverbs 17:9a

I hope you enjoyed this and are having a blessed week!!!! And keep in mind that people are just the tools, but our real enemy is satan!! So deal with him accordingly!!! Xoxo💖💖💖

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. — Romans 12:21 NIV

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. — Ephesians 6: 12-16 NIV

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. — Matthew 5:9 NIV

  1. Preach on! 💛 Yes, it seems that the Holy Spirit may be teaching us similar things, indeed! I even see some potential overlap with this post and the one that will come out on Wednesday on my blog – and I wrote it before I even read this! Look at the Lord at work. ✝️ 😀

  2. Awesome word! So much truth. I began learning this while going to alanon many years ago. Funny how and where God will teach us things. He showed me I needed to separate the alcoholics behavior from the person. But man that’s sooooo incredibly hard to do. Love the sinner hate the sin. Thank you for sharing sweetie💗
