Who or What Defines Your Worth?

A mistake I always made was to base my worth off of what society dictates.  That kept me very unhappy for a long time, & in a state of desperately seeking validation from people, & not valuing myself, therefore I devalued myself when it came to relationships, jobs, etc. It is NOT a good feeling! It affects every area of your life. I didn’t think I was good enough because I hadn’t met certain standards set by society.

Once I repented of my sins & reconciled with Jesus, as I grew closer to God, I began to understand more & more my worth in Him. He began, by His amazing love & grace, to reveal to me the truth of my value & worth in Him. And this is a process that’s still ongoing! But I feel like I’ve reached this point where I truly understand that my worth only comes from Jesus. It comes from God’s Word. No matter what society or people, whoever they may be, may try to tell me. It doesn’t matter if I didn’t get a certain job or if I got dumped (trust me- I’ve been through both lol🙈). I know what God’s Word says! It is inscribed in my heart. His truth will never leave me, His love will never leave me.😭🙌🏻🙏🏻💗

So instead of chasing the world, of changing myself for the world, I’m chasing JESUS & allowing Him to change me & mold me how HE sees fit. Now I can REST & don’t have to live with the constant worry & anxiety of living to please people. I live to please the Lord, because of Him, I am made worthy! 💗🙌🏻🙏🏻
