How will you know you are a victor in Christ, if you haven’t learned to trust Him in the battle? (Pt. 1)

Do we really know what it means to be a victor in Christ? We have read the verses about victory, we sing the songs about victory, but when we are actually in the battle, are truly trusting God? Do we know what that actually looks like & what it entails?

Situations in life can test our faith in the Lord. Sometimes God allows these situations not to harm us, but to teach us to trust in Him, depend on Him, & so we learn how to actually fight spiritually. But it’s painful when we go through it, & many people have left the Lord when going through these battles. This cannot & will not be us!

We can sing about it, read about it, but until we’ve truly passed through those battles, we won’t really know what that trust in the Lord actually looks like. God wants to train us & build up our faith! We must allow Him to! And thank God that He provides absolutely everything we need to be victorious!! We are not left on our own to “figure it out.” The Lord is with us, but we need to cry out to Him & follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, even if it leads you right to the frontline of the battle!! Because it will!!

God is our good father, & He wants good for us & not harm. This means helping us to become stronger men & women of the faith. Helping us to become unmovable!

The Bible says that God disciplines those whom He loves. The battles the Lord allows are not punishment, but they are meant to shape us into the men & women He wants us to be.

♡ Psalm 144:1-2 ♡
1{A Psalm of David.} Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

♡ 1 Peter 1:7 ♡
These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

♡ Zechariah 4:6 ♡

So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.
