Modesty & Purity of the Heart

Make sure your heart is pure. 💖Jesus called the Pharisees whitewashed tombs because they wanted to give the appereance of being holy & pure, but in reality their hearts were far from Him & full of darkness & evil.
.
The same is today. Just because someone may look a certain way, serve in certain ministry or have a certain talent, it is not a measure of their heart. And we shouldn’t judge people who are on their sanctification process (we all are!), because then we would be exactly like the Pharisees who judged on these outside appereances, instead of allowing the Lord to purify their heart. We can become stumbling blocks to ourselves & others when we judge in this way. ❤🙏🏻❤
.
Modesty is important yes. But we should not judge others or ourselves based solely on appereance. Just because you change your clothing, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have changed on the inside. Many people do this & deceive themselves. Make sure you let God purify you on the inside first, then it will reflect on the outside. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to make any changes in your life you need to make & purify your heart. ❤🙏🏻

♡ Matthew 23:25-28 ♡
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, so that the outside may become clean as well.
27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and every kind of impurity. 28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to be righteous, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
