This is a hard truth! How many times do we sin against God, attempting to “defend” Him? This is exactly what Peter did when Jesus was being arrested to be crucified. He cut off a soldier’s ear. But Jesus said, “No more of this!” & healed the man’s ear.(Luke 22:51) Jesus rebuked Peter telling him, “Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword.” (Matt.26:52)

How many of us are living by the sword of our togues? So many times do we say idle words that really hurt people, without even thinking? But we cannot be like the world & think we’re pleasing God. That’s wrong in the eyes of God bc it is sinful behavior. Another example is when Peter told Jesus He shouldn’t be crucified. Jesus rebuked Satan who was speaking through Peter! (Matt 16:23)

The Lord doesn’t need or desire “defending” of that kind. He’s never wanted us to behave that way over anything! Certain things that we don’t like must happen & they won’t stop no matter how much we fight, because these things are Biblical. They’re part of God’s plan & He’s still in control & always will be! Just like Peter, if we try to stop them from hapenning, A. We’ll be unsuccessful, & B. We’ll be going against God’s will!

We simply MUST keep sharing God’s TRUTH, & show God’s LOVE above all & extend His MERCY & GRACE at ALL times to EVERYONE! That’s what we are called to do, because that is the love of Christ! The Holy Spirit will do the rest! 💖🙏🏻
