WARNING: DON’T LOOK BACK. 🙈🤚🏻🚫
We can learn so much from the story of Lot’s wife. She’s a perfect example of what NOT TO DO. Jesus in this verse is talking about His 2nd coming, but her story I think also applies to having full comittment to Christ, not loving sin, or desing the world any longer.
👉🏻 It’s dangerous & deadly to NOT be FULLY committed to the Lord, as we can see from her story. Her continual desire for this sinful city led her to disobey the orders to not look back, & while God still gave her a chance to escape, she lost her life because she couldn’t help but disobey.
👉🏻 Sodom & Gomorrah was a very sinful city! But Lot’s wife’s heart was in that place. The Lord is trying to save us & taking us out of places where we don’t belong, where there is death, destruction, & judgement for our souls if we stay. We need to follow Him & obey Him & not be led by the flesh.
👉🏻 Salvation is individual. You need to build your faith & your own relationship with the Lord.
👉🏻 We cannot say we are with Jesus & keep looking back. That’s like playing with fire, & if you don’t stop, you could get burned. 😭🔥 The Lord desires full comittment from us, an undivided heart.
👉🏻 We need to have our hearts checked by God daily, repent of any sins, & stop loving them, nurturing, embracing them, or longing for them. Sin is Satan’s tool to steal, kill, & destroy!!!
👉🏻 It’s God’s will that we become sanctified!! Loving the Lord will push us to obey Him with the help of the Holy Spirit. It’s the Holy Spirit that helps us obey, but we must make the desicion. We simply must leave all the old ways behind. We press forward to our prize in Christ Jesus. Just turn away from old things & DON’T LOOK BACK!!!!

25 Thus He destroyed these cities and the entire plain, including all the inhabitants of the cities and everything that grew on the ground.
26 But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

Remember Lot’s wife! 33 Whoever tries to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will preserve it.
♡ Luke 9:62 ♡ Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”
