The Lord desires our COMMITTMENT… Nowadays people desire to live comittment free. 😔🙏🏻💔 But we absolutely cannot be casual when it comes to the Lord. We must be serious & disciplined. ❤
Sometimes we take God too casually, with no formality. Like, “I will read my Bible whenever I have time.” Or, “I’ll pray later.” But we really need to committ to Him & be serious about this because He desires that of us. Being casual in our relationship with God, signals that we are not interested in Him, & that we simply don’t trust Him or know Him or even have a desire to get to know Him more or grow in our relationship with Him.
Committment implies exlusivity. Don’t put anything or anyone in the place where only God belongs. Set aside a time in your day that is exclusive for you & God alone. We are His church, His Bride! Could you imagine if you were in a relationship with someone & they were casual about you? They just did whatever? They never planned time for you guys to be together? They were always focused on other things & not you? They always told you they were busy but then went out to hang out with their friends or would rather watch TV than be with you?! They didn’t care to learn more about you & never told anyone in their life about YOU?!
Lord, forgive us of the times we have been too casual with you. We want to be serious & committed because we love you & desire more of you & to grow in You. Help us to desire to read your Word, to pray, to worship, to be disciplined in all these areas. Help us to mature, get rid of any distractions, & to honor You daily. In Jesus name, Amen. ❤
Don’t be casual in your relationship with God. It’s not just anything. Treat it with the importance & value it has. Be serious, be committed.❤
