What God Has Made Clean, Do Not Call Common (Acts 10:15)

It often happens that people will try to discredit or devalue the amazing work the Lord has done in us. It’s not that they’re evil, it’s just maybe that they lack knowledge & understanding of who God is & His power. We see here that it’s Peter that is being admonished by the Holy Spirit, he is being told not to devalue people (gentiles) whom God has cleansed. To not call them common or unholy, as God has made them holy. The Spirit in the vision tells Peter, to get up, kill, & eat. Which I think has 2 meanings, literally about the food they ate, that the law was done away with, & that Peter was to go preach to the gentiles & fellowship with them & win them for the Kingdom of God.

Our value comes from God, & what amazing value we have to Him. It’s beyond comprehension. We have been cleansed & made new. We are set apart & special. We aren’t just anything, we aren’t common. When we are born again, we are children of the King! When we are born again, we have literally been made new, are sanctified, & adopted into God’s family in a SUPERNATURAL way through JESUS CHRIST!!! We must understand & believe this fact about ourselves & others in the family of faith! Not judge them based on their past, but if they have repented, understand that they are a NEW CREATION IN CHRIST JESUS. ❤

♡ Acts 10:9-16 ♡
Peter’s Vision
9 The next day at about the sixth hour, as the men were approaching the city on their journey, Peter went up on the roof to pray.
10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, but while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
11 He saw heaven open and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.
12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals and reptiles of the earth, as well as birds of the air.
13 Then a voice said to him: “Get up, Peter, kill and eat!”
14 “No, Lord!” Peter answered. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
15 The voice spoke to him a second time: “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
16 This happened three times, and all at once the sheet was taken back up into heaven.
