I don’t want to be entertained, I want to be TRAINED in God’s Word 📖⚔️🙏🏼

Many churches nowadays waste time with entertainment. They’re filled with shows and programs. Godly, Biblical programs are ok in moderation. But preaching, teaching of the Word, worship, prayer, need to take center stage at all times. Otherwise, why are we even there!? We are there to grow closer to God & to be trained on using our SWORD!!

The Bible in Acts 17 talks about a group of Jews named the Bereans, who received God’s Word & were diligent to study it, examine it to see if what they were being taught was truly the Truth of Scripture. This is so amazing & it’s exactly how we need to be! We must carefully examine everything we are being taught. Everything message we read or see on social media. Ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you & give you discernment. We are living in a time of a lot confusion & worthless entertainment, even inside churches 🙏🏼

But we don’t need to fear or let our hearts be troubled (John 14:1). Make sure you are not being led astray by myths & false doctrines, which the Bibli calls doctrines of demons (1 Tim. 4:1) We must walk as wise, testing the spirits (1 John 4:1), being guided by the Word (Psalm 119:105) & by the Holy Spirit who guides us to all truth. (John 16:13).

So be careful that you are not being entertained, but being TRAINED in God’s pure, unadulterated Word!

Acts 17:11

8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
