God Desires to Bless Us ❤🙏

Did you know, that God wants to bless you? God wants to A. SAVE US, and B. Bless us, each and every one of us! We just have to choose him back, because he already chose us, he chose to love us first! Isn’t that an amazing thought?!

So why is it, that sometimes people do NOT choose God in times of difficulty? When things get tough in life, when they don’t go the way they had hoped, they lose their faith in the Lord and feel as if He let them down in some way. They choose to walk away from the Lord, and lean on their own wisdom or their own human understanding of things instead. They are being led by their physical/ human eyes, instead of being led by the spiritual. So how can we keep the faith during times like this?

If God wants to bless us, His children, why then, do we see that we go through such difficulties in our lives? Aren’t we children of the Lord? Doesn’t he desire to save us and bless us? Why then, do we see that people who are NOT believers, who do evil, who are definitely NOT children of the Lord, are so incredibly well off? They SEEM to be blessed beyond measure! ☹😭😦

Great questions and I’m glad you asked! Lol.🤓

Before we begin, just to clarify, God’s children are NOT ALL the people of earth. Some people mistakenly believe this. God’s children are the people who have chosen Him. Who have repented of their sins and accepted Jesus as their personal savior, and live life accordingly. These are the children of God. Not everyone of earth. I’ve heard people call themselves a child of God, and they’ve never accepted Jesus. Sadly, they are mistaken because if you haven’t accepted Jesus, you are not yet a child of God. But you can be anytime you just need to repent and accept Him, and stop living in sin.

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God — John 1:12

So as christians, why do we go through difficulties? The first answer that comes to my mind, is disobedience. Many times, God is ready and willing to bless us, He has things and plans prepared for us, but we are simply unwilling to follow His voice. We are disobedient to the will of God. 😔 And this bring repercussions, setbacks, negative results, etc.. Sometimes people completely lack discernment. I have been here before (trust me lol 😓). It’s crucial that we ask for discernment and wisdom daily through prayer, and not make decisions based on our will and desires of our heart. So, we just want to do what we want to do, and when things go wrong, we blame God, when He had nothing to do with it lol. He was telling you to go right and you didn’t listen, you went left. You got lost and stranded and then, we blame him! 😞Still, He is SO GOOD and SO MERCIFUL, that when we cry out to him in these moments of despair, He comes to our rescue. So disobedience/ lack of discernment is my top choice as to why we go through difficulties as Christians.

My second choice is related to the first. Sometimes, God disciplines us (as a result of us being disobedient). Like the loving father that He is, when we get out of line, out of control, He needs to discipline us in order for us to learn the right way of doing things. His ways. If we do not learn, we will never know the correct way, and that can lead to our own demise. And He loves us!!! He loves us too much to see us self- destruct. If we are left to our own devices, we would all be lost. But God loves us too much. Think of it like a rebellious teenage child and a parent. What sort of parents let their kids do anything they want? Smoke, do drugs, have sex, stay out all night? Not very good ones right. Good parents have rules. Why? Because letting your children self- destruct is not love. It may seem painful. Especially for the child who does not get it and wants to rebel. We rebel against the Lord. Our flesh wants to do what it wants. Which is why we need to again, ask for discernment and wisdom because the Lord loves us. He is for us and He has plans for our good! He will help us conquer the flesh and save us! 🙌

The third reason why I believe Christians go through difficulties, is because sometimes, it is the will of God. There are things that are simply, a mystery to us, and this lifetime we will never have the answer. But we can be sure that God wants to save us and that His plans are for our good. His plans, His will, will happen. Sometimes, you may be upset that it is going against what you desired in your heart. But we must follow God’s will first and foremost. His will will be done and we have to understand this & accept it.

Things to remember:
God wants to bless us but his blessings aren’t always focused on material things, although he does always provide what we need. It is a promise from the Lord. We shouldn’t use material wealth as a measure for how much God loves us. The enemy uses material things to bless those who follow him. So not all material things come as blessings from God and we shouldn’t use this as a measure of our faith or of God’s love for us. He does want us to have victory, but just because you are not in that stage in your life, it doesn’t mean God doesn’t love you or has forgotten about you. Look at the story of Joseph in the Bible. And King David… Both stories of men of great faith who also went through great trials. Too many people use material wealth as a measure of God’s love for them. So they become discouraged when things get tough thinking, God must not love me, or God betrayed me, and quit before they even start. God would never do this. It is a process, & we have to understand money isn’t a “measuring tool” of God’s love for you.

Sometimes in life, we’ll go through difficulties. It says so in the Bible. We will have trials, just because we’re Christians it does not mean we will not have trials. What it means is that God will be with us through it all. He will sustain us, He will provide what we need, and He will give us strength. We just have to believe in him and not on ourselves. It might test your faith. But we shouldn’t let money or anything else, be a cause for breaking with God. Remember the story of the rich young ruler? (Matthew 19: 16- 26). He was not able to part from his possessions to follow Jesus. He loved his money & possessions too much to give it all away to the poor and follow Jesus. He was looking with his physical eyes. He didn’t understand that Jesus owns, everything!!!! Lol. He didn’t understand the eternal. He didn’t understand that Jesus is the Messiah. There are many people like that today. They love their money too much. Little do they know, it has no real worth eternally speaking. In no time at all, that money will be gone. And where will they spend eternity? We cannot let money take the place of God in our hearts. Or anything else. Remember, we are only here for a little while. We need to focus on eternal things…

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. — Isaiah 46:4

God’s love & salvation are the goals here, the prize, and the most important thing, and they’re available for everyone. We just need to choose Him back. Only the Lord knows people’s hearts. Just focus on doing what God has called us to do, on being obedient. I know a lot of us go through trials, and I hope this message has encouraged you. I like to think about the story of Joseph and King David a lot during hard times. Being a Christian, sometimes it can even feel  like we’re losing lol. Because there’s so many seemingly great things you pass up because of your faith. But it is not so. We will be rewarded greatly for our faith one day! If you have time, I hope you can read about these two men. I’ve included some links below! 🙂 They will greatly encourage you. ❤

And always remember, that God desires to bless us! Because we are His children! Just like a good father loves to bless His children. I even feel spoiled by Him often lol. The more obedient and faithful we are to Him, the more he is able to bless us. The more we delight ourselves in His presence, the more amazing things we will discover & be blessed!! Hope you have a great weekend! Xoxo 💖💖💖

Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; 2 for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. 3 Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. 4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. — Psalm 37:1-4

Cultivating Excellence 🌱💯

I’ve made it one of my goals to cultivate this quality of “excellence” on myself this year. In the past, I used to focus on being perfect all of the time. But this is so damaging on so many levels. Not only is the idea of perfection nonexistent and completely unattainable, but the person trying to achieve it isn’t aware of this fact. So you work so hard, only to end up constantly comparing yourself and your work to others, realizing you or your work will never ever be good enough, and lastly either destroying your work or abandoning projects midway through. I used to have a string of unfinished projects that I would start, but never finish. Or projects I would just destroy because I thought, what’s the use? It will never be perfect. Then months or years later I would find my work and think, oh wow this is amazing I should’ve finished it! Lol. What good are unfinished works and projects, that remain hidden?! God doesn’t want that from us, He wants us to follow through so He can use us!
Could you imagine if God decided to leave us just as we are, and not finish His work within us? If He decided to just give up on us? Never right! God would never do this. It says so in His word. So we need to finish our work as well, because everything we do, we should be doing for God! 🙂

6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. — Phillipians 1:6 NIV
23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. — Colossians 3: 23-24

So no more perfectionism for me! 😀👏🙌🙏Thank God He has done some major work with me in this area. I now finish everything I start, & I also know how to say no. I have more balance & I know when something is just too much. It’s a work in progress. 😊 I just want to focus on growing and not competing, and just giving my best in every area of my life. Not looking around, wondering who’s doing what and measuring myself up against other people or the world’s standards. Simply outdoing myself! 🙂
Part of being excellent also means imo, following through, finishing tasks as previously mentioned, being diligent, being punctual and reliable, and all those wonderful qualities that we like in people who inspire us. They inspire us BECAUSE of these qualities, and because they are just doing their personal best, putting in hard work, and simply following God’s standards, notwithstanding of what anyone else may be doing. And hey I’m not perfect & I know nobody else is. Of course there will be times when life happens, & things do not go as planned. There are many variables that are simply out of our control. But as long as we’re putting in effort, I think that’s what counts. 😀💯
The point is to not remain stagnant in your spiritual life or elsewhere. The efforts we make to be “excellent” need to be habits that become part of our daily routine, not something you do once in a while. I always think of it in terms of going “above & beyond”, or “beyond the call of duty.” Not just doing bare minimum but on everything you do, just really try to do YOUR personal best (not comparing yourself to others but YOUR best). And once you reach a certain goal, you can set new goals in order to keep growing. It’s these daily habits that will define us as “excellent” and make all the difference. To me these daily habits are like the “seeds” for excellence. And then as we keep doing these habits, we’re “watering the seeds” & “giving them sunlight,” so we’re making excellence grow! 🌱🙌 Making productive use of our time and resources shows that we are grateful for the blessings that God has placed within our hands, and that we are good managers of those blessings, however big or small.

So what does excellence mean to you? How are you cultivating excellence in different areas of your life? What seeds are you planting? 🌱🌳
Well I hope you’ve had a great week and enjoy the weekend to come!! God bless ❤ Xoxo ❤

My “Minimalist” Lifestyle

One of my goals for 2018 is to save more money and be more financially smart. I don’t know if you guys have heard of the “minimalist” lifestyle, but I’ve sort of adopted it in a sense for the past year, year and a half. Now I know there are extreme minimalists, and that is not me lol. But, I do like it because A. it helps you save a ton of money, and B. it shifts your focus off things and more on people and experiences. So it really gets you in the habit of thinking, “do I really need this?” before buying things, which is something I’ve always struggled with (buying stuff I don’t need lol).

So I just wanted to share some tips about my so- called minimalist lifestyle, which tbh I think it’s just a normal life. I am a normal person who basically is doing things that she finds practical and that are going to save her some money. Personally, I absolutely hate clutter, so this whole minimalism concept really struck a chord with me. I continually clean out and get rid of stuff I don’t use. And I also buy quality. I buy things that I love and will last me a long time, and that I know I will get a good use out of them. Having said this, I also refuse to overpay for things lol. But quality> quantity, always! 🙂 Also, I have to say that I kind of was already doing a lot of these things already, then I found out it was a minimalism trend lol. ☺

Here are some things I’ve done in the past year to cut costs and live a more “simple” life:

  1. Pack my lunch everyday (this is for money but for health reasons too)
  2. Make my own coffee (bye Starbucks, au revoir)
  3. Downgrade my cell phone plan (there is no need to have an expensive plan)
  4. Buy bulk (it saves a ton!)
  5. Coupons, special offers, weekly deals, & grocery store apps- They work!!
  6. Stop buying excessive amounts of expensive makeup (I still buy basics like foundation, powder every other month).
  7. Cut my own hair (YES, only do this if you know how. I learned on you tube!)
  8. Blow dry my own hair (I’ve actually always done this, I learned from beauty magazines, tv, etc.)
  9. Do my own nails (It’s not hard! Also learned from beauty magazines)
  10. Do not buy vending machine drinks or snacks at work.
  11. Stopped buying bottled water. Use Brita pitcher and reusable water containers.
  12. Stop buying expensive & sugary coffee creamers. (for money & health reasons)
  13. Stop taking trips to the crafts store to buy stuff I never make! lol
  14. Stop buying books. I have an Amazon Kindle membership which I love, many books are free, & you download to the online library! No physical clutter! 💯🆒
  15. Cutting down on cleaning products. I used to buy a ton of different cleaning products for every surface & room in the house! You don’t have to do that. An antibacterial such as lysol, clorox wipes, & plain paper towels & water do the trick. Not much else is needed. (I discovered windows can be cleaned with water & a paper towel! Goodbye smelly Windex lol✌) ️

So these are all the tips I can think of. Are you guys minimalists? Have you also been living “minimalist lifestyle” without even realizing it? If you have any tips you’d like to share, please let me know! 🙂

Have a blessed Thursday!! 😊💖 Xoxo

Nothing can Substitute Experience and God’s Guidance

pexels-photo-66100Nothing in life can substitute experience and God’s guidance. Education can get you prepared, and it is often essential in dealing with like half of problems imo lol. But often times, when we are in real- world situations, whether they are personal or professional, really all we have to rely on is our experience and well, the voice of God to guide us of course!

Having experience is having confidence. If you master a certain area of your life, you will be confident in this area. That is why it’s so important to constantly keep changing for the better and improving. But how do we improve? By not being afraid of making mistakes. Yes we’ve all heard it, “ mistakes are proof that you are trying” LOL. But cliche-y sayings aside, learning to see the LESSONS in your mistakes, and seeing them as part of the growth process, will help in our journey to grow in whatever area it is that we’re looking to grow.

IF you learn the lessons in your mistakes, they will be part of your experience. And this is valuable knowledge! If you fail to learn these lessons, well you’ll just have to try again and again, making the same mistakes until you finally see it. (trust me LOL). I am more & more learning to ask God for A. wisdom, and B. strength. Windom is to be able to learn from our mistakes. To understand WHY things happened, & what role WE played. To understand what HIS WILL is. And strength, to do what is necessary to rise above the situation & be victorious! Remember, God has already given us the victory! We just have to believe it & claim it for ourselves! 💖

The sad part is, some people actually go through their entire lives repeating the SAME mistakes OVER AND OVER, not learning from their past mistakes. It’s ok to make mistakes, but we also shouldn’t be stuck our entire lives on the same mistakes.

God’s love and guidance is readily available for us, so why aren’t some people using it like they should? I know I didn’t before, and I am still learning. I think as humans, it’s difficult for us accept the fact that we don’t actually know what we are doing lol. But once we do, once we surrender ourselves to the Lord and humble ourselves, life actually becomes a LOT less complicated! LOL.

That way I can add it to my experience, keep going, and help others, instead of going through life defeated, repeating the same mistakes over & over, and not seeking God’s guidance like I’m supposed to. The sooner we accept that we will always need God our lives, the sooner we can make real progress. 😊💖

Hope you have a blessed Sunday! Xoxo

Merry Christmas

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

Hey ya’ll! Merry Christmas from God Makes all Things New!! (me lol)❤🎉🎄

No matter what you are going through, remember to keep your hope in Christ. The salvation we receive through Jesus is reason enough for us to celebrate every day of the year. We have hope & true freedom, & that is priceless.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. —  Luke 2: 11-14 kjv

Giving too much of ourselves

pexels-photo-714697.jpegI am a generous person. It’s in my blood, in my DNA, it’s my personality, I simply love to give! Unfortunately, people like me often get taken advantage of. How much giving is too much? Is there a limit, should there be?

This is something that I’ve struggled with personally. I’m not talking about just money here, although that does play a role. I mean time, affection, & attention; are we giving away these precious commodities to people & things that are simply not worth it & do not deserve it?

I believe when it comes down to it, it all boils down to having strong personal boundaries in EVERY area of your life, & defending those boundaries regardless of how you may feel at the moment, because you know, deep down inside, those boundaries are correct & the present feeling may cloud your judgement of a situation. While those feelings subside, strong personal boundaries serve as a barrier or as a defense against any form of manipulation that may be occurring.

The importance of strong personal boundaries in every area of life cannot be overstated!! Boundaries will save you from bad business deals, toxic friendships & relationships, basically they will save your life. Boundaries, imo, must be rooted in the word of God. Because if we know Him, then we know how we should be treated, & how we need to be treating others as well. They also need to follow God’s teachings for our lives, as we are expected to be obedient to Him as His followers.

This takes a lot of effort! It’s not easy creating these boundaries, let alone enforcing them. But you’ll find that over time, it not only becomes easy but its 2nd nature. You wouldn’t live any other way & you’ll wonder how you ever survived without these boundaries based on God!!

I’m going to write more on this topic because I want to share my personal tips on creating boundaries that are in line with God & the Bible. For now, if this is an area where you struggle, pray to God that He helps you create those boundaries. Pray for wisdom. Let God show you the areas where you may be a little too generous & could use some more boundaries or limits.

I will be praying for you as well! Please comment if you would like prayer or anything else! ❤❤❤

Happy Sunday, Xoxo😘😘
