For so long I was looking for that perfect love to fill up that void I felt inside. I tried so many things (chasing wrong friends & wrong relationships), until the Lord allowed me to come to the end of myself, so I could see the truth, that He is that perfect love I had been searching for!
I saw this video the other day of the Samaritan woman & Jesus at the well. I’ve read that story counless times but I guess this time it really hit me, we truly never thirst again when we drink the water of life which is Jesus. Jesus was offering her Himself, His perfect love, eternal life & salvation! He knew she had been with so many men looking for this perfect love, which could only be found in Him. ❤
When we accept His perfect love, we are transformed & no longer thirst for the things of the world! We need Jesus. The only way we can truly love ourselves & others is when we tap into the source of love, which is God.
Unless we drink from the living water Jesus offers, we will be continually searching & seeking because our hearts won’t be satisfied!
So if you are searching & seeking today to fill a void, stop searcing in the wrong places that give you temporary fulfillment only to leave you the same way or worse, & ask Jesus for living water!!
