If Jesus isn’t Invited, I’m Not Going

As followers of Christ, we must make the desicion to leave places, conversations, & environments where Jesus is not welcomed. We must be faithful to God. This is essential to stop being a double minded Christian. Everything we do must be to honor & glorify God. There will be times when we are called to go to certain places to reach out to unbelievers. But we really are to live set apart, holy lives, honoring God in every way possible.

Having conversations or being in places with unbelievers or in bad environments for purposes other than evangelizing can be dangerous for your spiritual wellbeing, because it will weaken you spiritually.

Be careful about who you have conversations with, the type of conversations, etc. (Even from people who claim to be Christian!) If they’re not glorifying God, living for God, living in holiness, it is best to keep some distance, because getting too close WILL pull you down & away from the Lord.

Remember, Christ is in you & you represent Jesus. We of course should be kind & loving, but we don’t need to compromise on our beliefs. We don’t need to be in environments or conversations where sin is made light of or promoted, or where people try to get you to compromise on your beliefs. Draw boundaries & simply decide, if Jesus isn’t invited, I am not going.🚫⛔ That doesn’t mean we need to be rude or anything, it just means we will not participate in conversations, activities, or be in environments that simply don’t please God.🙏🏻💕

♡ James 1:6-8 NLT ♡
But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.
7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do

♡ Proverbs 13:20 ♡
He who walks with the wise will become wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed.

♡ 2 Corinthians 6:14 ♡
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?

♡ Mark 6:11 ♡ If anyone will not welcome you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that place, as a testimony against them.”

  1. Perfectly well said. Love it. Lots of truth. We can be weakening that is so true. Sadly, when we do become weaken, we never give thought about the types of environments we surrounded ourselves in or what conversations we might of hand. I enjoyed this post.
