Nowadays it can be easy to call yourself a Christian, though there are challenges, but where I live, most people claim to be Christian. Which is truly a blessing, but it’s also confusing.π€ Because sometimes you see people who say they love God but aren’t living for Christ & sometimes display behavior that’s not Christ-like. And that’s to be expected because of course, everyone is in the process of sanctification & nobody is perfect. We all make errors in this walk, I know I surely have & do! BUT, we must ask ourselves, are we truly living the life of a Christian? Are we being real with God in our relationship with Him?
Outside of what we post on social media, what we profess in public, are we truly APPLYING the Word of God to our lives? Are we striving to live in obedience to Him? Are we making an effort to spend time with the Lord, to grow in Him, and not remain stagnant in our faith? Are we making time daily to read the Bible & pray? Do we worship God? These are all things real Christians do.
I do not want anybody to feel bad about themselves. The point of this post is not to do that of course. I am applying this to myself too. Because sometimes we get too caught up in social media, but are we really walking with God? Only the Lord knows our hearts. π The point of this is that we need to examine ourselves, how is our walk with God, beyond social media & what other people can see?
There’s no point in pretending with God. How great it is that we can be 100% REAL with Him, He knows our flaws, & still loves us so much! Be real with Him. If maybe you’ve been too busy pretending & didn’t take care of your relationship with Him, just repent & go back to Him. Do the things you did at first. He is waiting with open arms! How great is our God! πππ»β€π₯

Therefore, keep in mind how far you have fallen. Repent and perform the deeds you did at first. But if you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.
β‘ Leviticus 6:13 β‘
The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.
β‘ Proverbs 28:13 β‘
He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.
β‘ John 14:21 β‘ Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.β
